Canadian Association of Positve Pet Dog Trainers

Welcome to the Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers, otherwise known as the CAPPDT! Canada’s ONLY national professional association for those who love training dogs. We are a professional association for dog trainers. Some of us enjoy teaching others to train their dogs. Some of us are avid trainers of our own pets and others are up and coming trainers. No matter what your occupation, if you love dogs and want to learn more about training you’ve come the right place!

International Positive Dog Training Asscociation

Our goal is to set the international standard for the humane application of dog training and behaviour modification tools and techniques, and to create better trainers through education by teaching, learning and sharing humane techniques and through a continuous search for and exploration of new methods.

Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals: Barrie Branch

The Ontario SPCA Barrie Branch was established in 1968 to provide a safe haven for animals in need of protection and care. Since then, the City of Barrie's population has grown at a record rate - including its animal population - initiating the shelter's expansion in the 1980's.

Canadian Royal Potcake Rescue

The Canadian Royal Potcake Rescue is a dog rescue organization working out of Wasaga Beach Canada to rescue dogs around the world. Their focus is small breed dogs in kill shelters across Canada and the US, and mixed breed puppies (called Potcakes) from the Bahamas. They are a foster based rescue so all of their dogs/puppies spend their time with people and other animals in their homes until they are adopted. For more info please explore their website and take a moment to look at the beautiful pups they have available for adoption, or visit their support page if you’d like to make a donation!
